Protruding Jaw *Skeletal Class III Malocclusion

This refers to cases where the lower jaw is larger, longer, or more protruded than the upper jaw.

It often appears as a long chin or a jaw with an outward curve.

The sunken maxilla is repositioned correctly,
and the protruding mandible is moved backward to its proper alignment.

Retrogenia *Skeletal Class II Malocclusion

The chin appears underdeveloped, making the lower part of the face look small and weak.
Commonly known as a receding chin, medically referred to as mandibular hypoplasia.

After repositioning the maxilla, the mandible is advanced
to align properly with the upper jaw.
Mandibular movement is typically performed using the SSRO technique,
and chin advancement may be added if needed.

Facial Asymmetry

When the jawbone is tilted to one side along the vertical midline of the face,
the condition is referred to as facial asymmetry.

Surgery involves repositioning the maxilla using the Le Fort I osteotomy.
The mandible is then realigned to match the repositioned upper jaw.

Protruding Mouth

When both the upper and lower jaws protrude forward
as seen from the side,
the condition is called bimaxillary protrusion.

are moved backward into proper position.

Long Face (Vertical Maxillary Excess)
